Clause: Hi everybody, the following information is provided by Tein Chui Shan Crystal, (S8209131I), representing Singapore. The information is provided with the knowledge that she is not a trained psychologist nor a student of any psychology department of any educational institution.
Schizophrenics mostly live in their own world, somewhat like slight autism. They normally do not kill other people but rather, commit suicide as they are in their own world and think they are possessed or weird through hearing voices in their heads. Another point is that schizophrenics always think they are on television, or they have this perpetual feeling that walls have ears or their phoned are tapped.
Thus, I can safely say that schizophernics do not kill other people during their early years. However, as they keep on hearing voices into their adulthood, they go mad, think they are possessed and go out of control and yes, then they WILL start killing other people.
The key thing about schizophrenics is for those who use the media constantly, they react to the media. Like something has been invented that they start thinking they invented it. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy when they start thinking they invent this or that or are a hot celebrity. This reaction to the media is an attempt to gain control of their own world. They feel helpless about the voices in their heads and want to block out the voices. This sense of control boosts their ego as said by Sigmend Feud (which I am not very well-versed on but will read up).
The best solution which can be offered is to have people who look young (must be short etc), or are young who are extremely intelligent and have at LEAST a masters in PHD psychology. You assign these people to sit next to the schizophrenic student during primary or elementary school. They must find a way to delve into the person's mind and secrets in a detached manner and demand proof whenever the schizophrenic person claims he/she is powerful/invented something or a celebrity etc. The course of treatment is ideally four to six months.
I'm placing my bet that the voices will slowly disappear as the hallucination subsides. There is a chance they may re-ocuur, but more research will ne conducted.
Of course, the parents can bring their kids for family gatherings with extended families. There must be at least ONE extended family member which the schizophrenic child trusts; either that, or the mother and father. There must be an attempt to have personal contact. If there is that family member plus the father, mother and counsellor in school; they can liaise with one another and double-check one another to analyse the schizophrenic child's mind.
The thing is; all schools worldwide (regardless the level) should also have some level of personal contact, otherwise which is not healthy for even a normal person.
The first point when you can detect whether a child is schizophrenic is when he/she starts saying things like I invented this new gadget, or I am a world-wide celebrity and all the other people in the class knows he/she is not. If the child starts boasting about himself/herself/ things which do not exist, it can be almost accurate to say that he/she is schizophrenic.
